With the biggest eating holiday around the corner, some of you may be a bit stressed. Wondering how you can enjoy the holiday, the food, the drinks, without totally blowing all your hard work.

Here are some suggestions :
  • Don't go hungry. Eat a small healthy breakfast and if you have time, try to get some exercise in before the meal. It will boost your metabolism and you will feel confident about yourself and have an energized and healthy glow.
  • Take small portions and do not eat to the point of discomfort. Try to not think of the meal as an all-you-can- buffet.
  • After the meal and before the pie, try to coax someone into taking a walk. It's a great way to catch up on things with a friend or relative and to remind your body that it is full.
  • Go ahead with the pumpkin pie. It is high in vitamin A and full of fiber. Remember that pecan pie has the highest calorie content, if you must, take a small piece.
  • Last but not least, keep in mind that the calories consumed from beverages can be very high. Try to Drink a lot of water and choose wisely on alcoholic beverages. The lower the alcohol content the lower the calories.
Enjoy your family and friends and all the yummy food and drinks. Be safe.

For the first time probably in my life I didn't over eat because I couldn't. I have had gastric bypass and I can eat no more than about 3/4 of a cup. It actually felt good. Sandy
